Swimmers Shine at Australia Day Tradition

Jan Newsletter Headings (27)

Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre at Bexley was once again the venue for the annual St George Swim Club Australia Day Swim Meet this past Saturday 25th January.

With over 250 swimmers competing on the day from 30 different clubs from around NSW, we witnessed some very fast racing from some of the brightest up and coming stars in the pool. Along with the records, medals and personal best times, we also saw some much-needed money raised for the NSW Rural Fire Service on the day.

The host team of St George Swim Club finished the day on top winning the overall club point score with their 60 swimmers strong team. St George dominated the medal tally throughout the day showing they are a great young club on the rise.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who competed on the day with great Aussie spirit, ensuring the legacy of the green and gold in the pool is in safe hands with our local junior talent.
